How do you enter?

Can I submit more than once a month?
There is no limit to the number of times you can enter.
Can I win more than once?
There is no limit to the number of times you can win.
Can I submit the same outfit for different months?
No. We want to see fresh stuff every month.
I want to submit an outfit, but I forgot to keep the receipts. Can I still submit?
Yes, if the thrift store does not give you a receipt at the time of purchase or you forgot to keep the receipt, simply take a picture of the price tags on the clothes.
About how long after we submit our photos will they be posted on the site?
It depends. Sometimes it happens the day of submission if we’re on top of things; sometimes it takes a few days for us to clear out the queue—especially around weekends or holidays.
Rest assured though that all submissions that make it in before the deadline will be judged in the cycle in which they were submitted, even if they don’t show up right away.
How does one request to judge?
If you’d like to judge, send us some info about yourself and why you’d be well qualified for the job. We’re always looking for folks who have a good knack for both style and thriftiness.
Can I submit inherited find?
Sure. We applaud your thrifty spirit. We are generally more interested in thrift store finds, but we’ve accepted entries in the past that have incorporated inherited or gifted items.
Will you ever run a contest like this for the home?
We love that idea! It may be something that we try later this year—maybe a special month devoted to home furnishings or room makeovers or something like that.

What does it mean if my entry is chosen as a Staff Favorite? Do I win anything?
No. Staff Favorites only win recognition for a job well done. Only the entries picked by the judges each month win money. The staff members’ opinions and the judges’ opinions do not always align, so we wanted a way to celebrate the kinds of entries that we, the staff members, love. We’ll be looking for good photo resolution, visual interest of the shot, nice lighting, and, of course, amazing thrifted clothes. Judges will still be instructed to make their selections from the ALL ENTRIES page to ensure that everyone who enters for the month gets considered for the prizes. It certainly wouldn’t hurt your chances to be selected as a Staff Favorite, so take that as an invitation to really do your best to create beautiful photos.
When will I get paid if I win? When will my charity get paid?
Winners are typically paid 2-4 weeks after submitting their paperwork. All charities designated by the winners will be paid at the end of our fiscal year.
