Staff Favorites are our editors’ favorite submissions, both new and from our archives. They are not necessarily winning entries (all of which can be found here), but we love the style of these entries so much that we want to feature them on our front page from time to time.

Electrogent is the soon-to-be husband and wife team of Andrew and Maria. The tandem writes articles for their male interest, grooming, and lifestyle website. Andrew is also the grooming correspondent for men’s style website, Dappered, where he regularly gives introductory grooming articles for guys on a budget. Maria, through her love of giving unsolicited advice, often gives guys girl advice through her article series, “The Better Half.”
Andrew and Maria reside in Texas, where they are antiquing enthusiasts with a passion for items that are both fun and creepy at the same time. Their home looks like Sherlock Holmes and Jules Verne just had a dinner party, and they like it that way.
Andrew holds a (tied) world record for fastest time to start and stop a stopwatch, and Maria saw Chuck Close at an art gallery once, but was too scared to say hi.

I thrifted the blazer from Goodwill of North Georgia for $5.95
The skirt is from Park Avenue Thrift for $3.93 , it’s actually midi length but I pulled it high and cinched the waist.

I was invited to attend a private VIP reception and screening for the Great Gatsby movie.
I wore a vintage fringe dress I picked up from the Salvation Army. It was $22, but I get it on their half off day for $11.
The fox scarf i scored from Goodwill of North Georgia for $2.92
The shoes were FREE! I won a best dressed gift certificate to Alexis Suitcase Consignment store and used it on these babies!
The earrings were patches on the shoulder of a vintage dress that i diy’d to earrings

The results are in. Coming courtesy of Lauren Felix, the ever-stylish founder of La Petite Fashionista, here are the winners* of the April 2013 cycle of Thrift Store Runway:
1. C: “I love this Coachella inspired look- the bright yellow pants have a bohemian feel w/ the crochet top. This would be perfect for wearing to a summer indie concert!”
2. Natasha: “I can’t believe Natasha scored this pink peplum for less than $15! It looks straight out of Mad Men, all it needs is the winged eyeliner!”
3. Thrift My Way: “This look could have stepped off a Chanel runway. I’m digging the detailing on the dress and those classic t-strap heels.”
4. Ginny: “The neon colored top is so perfectly on-trend, but this look is also versatile enough to be work appropriate.”
5. Alex: “I’m a big fan of blue, and this look is perfect for spring. It’s both classical and contemporary.”
